The Sullivans – New York Family Photographer

Heather contacted me about doing photographs for her family in October, and I was so excited for the opportunity to photograph this momma and her beautiful family. Heather is one of Christie sisters, and Christie is one of my very best friends. Christie and I have been friends ever since the very first few days of college, ten years ago. So I’ve spent LOTS of time with the Marshall family and LOTS of time with her amazing sisters. Photographing Heather was like photographing a member of my family – relaxed, laid back and everything just flowed.

I have learned over the years that I will always be nervous before and during a session. Always. I psyche myself out with the what-ifs. “What if I have nothing to talk about?” “What if the kids hate me?” “What if I forget everyone’s names?” (and to be fair, I am terrible with names).

But being with Heather and her family at a session was just like hanging around the Marshall table – chit-chatting, kids running around, everything completely carefree and easy. Below are a few of my favorites with this lovely family!
