The Rolyas, part 1 – South Jersey Engagement & Wedding Photographer

Nancy has been my friend for close to ten years. We went to high school together, but didn’t become close friends until after we both graduated. I’d come home for weekends or winter breaks and we’d spend the whole time together – driving around, going to bars, living in diners. Talking about our failed or failing relationships with men who probably didn’t deserve us. Sitting outside my house in her idling car, discussing our futures and our mistakes until the very early morning hours. I’ve been by Nancy’s side during her giddy crush highs, and her heart breaking lows. We’ve been there for each other.

And so when Nancy met Jeff, I was so excited for her. And then when she said that they would be getting married, I was so incredibly happy for her. And then when she asked me if I would photograph her small, intimate backyard wedding, I was beyond flattered.

In actuality, I photographed both engagement AND wedding photographs for Nancy and Jeff, but we photographed the wedding first. So here’s a glimpse at their wedding day, 10.11.12.
