tara + zac // nj engagement photographer

Oh my goodness, you guys! Can I just tell you how much I ADORE these two?! Seriously, they are the cutest ever.

I was lucky enough to meet Tara + Zac through one of my absolute favorite couples, Nikki + Finn (if you need a refresher on these two, check out their blog post here.) Just like with Nikki + Finn, when Tara, Zac and I spoke I knew I liked them right away. They were funny and cute, and they asked if they could include their dog in their engagement photos. COME ON.

So on a beautiful October day, I headed up to their house and photographed their beautiful little family (yes, two adults and a dog a family does make). After some shots with adorable Chewie, we headed over to the Watchung Reservation. Prepare yourselves to smile folks!

 

 

His name is Chewie because he looks like Chewbacca. I about died.

 

When we got to Watchung, there were all these old abandoned houses. So OBVIOUSLY I made them cuddle up on one..

 

Ah, I love that October light. My favorite.

 

How incredibly gorgeous is Tara, right?! SUCH a stunner.

 

I was all “go walk back in there and stand in that field”, and they did it but were like “I hope there aren’t any snakes”. I swear, the things my clients do for photographs. Sooo worth it though. I’m also happy to announce that we didn’t find any snakes.

 

During our session, we ran in to some runners!

 

I’m kiiiiiiiiiind of obsessed with this photograph. The light, the trees, the way he’s holding her, and she’s holding him back..

At the very end, before we headed into our cars I realized that I hadn’t done a sweeping landscape while at the Watchung Reservation. Right by the parking lot there was a log, so I asked if they’d humor me for one more shot. I’m so glad that they did.

 

Tara + Zac, I adore you guys! I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year, AND I can’t wait to see you guys again tomorrow while your good friends Nikki and Finn are married! xo, Lauren
