Mary + Mark // Valley Green Inn Wedding

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be able to capture the wedding day of Mary + Mark. Mary is my little cousin Jenn’s best friend, so I’ve known her pretty much forever. I mean, I still refer to her as Mary Frances, using the name that she went by primarily as a young girl, rather than calling her Mary or Mare as most people do who’ve met her later in life. Mary and Jenn were always together (and still are), and Mary still makes the annual appearance at our family’s Christmas Eve celebration – the ONLY friend of any of the cousins who is invited and welcomed (we’re a tough group that keeps a tight fist over our pierogi portions). Then, a few years ago Mary brought Mark to Wiglia (that’s what us Pollacks call the Christmas eve festivities) and everyone loved him right away. We learned he was a doctor, so of course we referred to him as Dr. Mark for the rest of the night. But Mark didn’t mind. He’s such an easy going and sweet guy, the calm to Mary’s storm. He spent the whole night with our crazy family, and even stayed later than most of our family members. I mean, here is a guy that can just hang out with a bunch of his new girlfriend’s friend’s family and not mind one bit.

These two are a perfect match, so in love, and I am so incredibly happy for them.

Now, let’s get in to the photographs! We started at the Loews Hotel before heading to their beautiful ceremony/reception at the Valley Green Inn. They have some serious good eats, so if you’re ever in the area you definitely need to check it out!
