Oh, this wedding. Well, let’s first start by saying that I photographed Mary + David’s wedding in Ireland. Yes, yes – THAT Ireland. You see, David is Irish. His family owns a beautiful farm in the Irish countryside. So when Mary and David were planning their wedding, Ireland was the perfect destination. But not just because David is Irish, but because Mary too has some not-so-distant relatives that are also Irish and still live in Ireland. As it turns out, Mary’s grandmother grew up in Ireland and her family lived only a few miles away from David’s family. And somehow, Mary + David found each other hundreds of miles away in a New York City bar. THIS IS THE STUFF FAIRYTALES ARE MADE OF PEOPLE!
Okay, okay – I won’t torture you any more.. time to check out the photos! Aren’t Mary’s details gorrrrgeeeousss?!
Mary had her hotel room littered with photographs to make it feel more like home. It was so sweet.
Now there’s our beautiful bride! Mary was such a stunner on her wedding day.
Seriously MARYYYYYYY. GAH! She was just so classic. And beautiful. And perfect.
Daddy/Daughter photographs get me every time.
Ceremony time!
In David’s town, after someone is married all of the people in town go home to light bonfires to congratulate them. It was amazing to see all of these people lighting fires, waving flags and congratulating the couple. At one stop, a guy had shots for them!
The lovebirds. In love.
Oh, and ya know.. since we were in Ireland an old Castle was kind of necessary. Every where you turn in Ireland, there is one buildings, and stone.. there is just so much beauty everywhere.
Meet the awesome bridal party! Some amazing girls and hilarious boys.
Those moody Ireland skies, though. My favorite.
Mary + David, thank you so much for having me along to your beautiful Ireland wedding. Not only did I have the best time with you, and your families, but I enjoyed exploring the beautiful Irish countryside. It was a dream, your wedding was a dream, and I feel honored to have captured it. I wish you all of the happiness + love + luck in the world. xo, lauren
