My first wedding of 2016 was a good one. Marcia and Erin got married on January 1st of this year, and the day was incredibly perfect. When I first met these two they talked about their rescue pitbull Layla like she was their baby, so I obviously loved them right away. I’m big into rescue, pitbulls and dogs in general.
Their wedding day was perfection. Upon walking in to the room, everyone was smiling and buzzing about. And they were all referring to one of the brides as Mar-see-a. I immediately was embarrassed, as I had been calling her Mar-sha for the past year! But Marcia was so easy going, she just brushed it off. Honestly, her & Erin probably just laughed at me a lot during their engagement session (like, “Oh my god. Why does she keep calling you Mar-sha?”) which made for some great moments.
Isn’t that just the most beautiful ring you’ve ever seen? I love how unique it is.
Here is our beautiful bride Marcia!
And here is Erin and her father fixing her tie. Erin (and all the guys and girls in her party) looked SHARP.
One of the cool things about their getting ready space is that it was 2 rooms connected by one large suite, so everyone could hustle about between the rooms. Erin stayed in the one room, and Marcia got ready in the open suite. Here she is getting in to her dress..
They took a shot of something to calm the nerves.
They did their first look in the open suite, choosing to do it in front of their bridal party and parents. I love the next shot of Erin’s face with both Erin and Marcia’s parents in the background.
They had a flower girl and ring bearer, and then an additional 6 or 7 little girls (all nieces, or close friends kids). All the little girls were a different color of the rainbow. It was perfection.
Over at the Collingswood Ballroom…
How incredibly ADORABLE are they?
And now we get married!
Erin & Marcia had a rocking party. Not a surprise though, because their family and friends were SO MUCH FUN!
So much fun, in fact, that the fire alarms went off and the firefighters showed up in the kitchen.
Marcia + Erin, thank you for allowing me to capture your beautiful wedding day. I felt like family all day, and it was the perfect way to bring in 2016. Love you both!!
