Friends, get ready for THEE prettiest classic wedding ever: soft, gorgeous tones coupled with beautiful dark architecture. This is the way that I would describe the wedding of Katie + Anthony at The Mutter Museum.
I met these two through one of my favorite couples (ever!) Nik & Rob whose wedding I’m photographing later this fall (eeeee!). So I knew immediately I was gonna like Katie + Anthony, and well, I DID! In fact, I just adored them!
They were so incredibly easy going. In fact, they didn’t even bat an eye when we randomly ran into each other a few weeks before their wedding and I completely looked at them with zero recognition for what felt like forever (true story, I think my face is still red from the embarrassment). Adorable, sweet Katie was all “you only met us in the dark that one time!”. To be fair, I’m a mess with ALL names and faces. After I’ve introduced myself to you, there’s a good chance I already don’t remember your name..
BACCCKKK to the real story here though, their incredibly beautiful wedding. The day was exactly like them – easy, laid back, and fun. The perfect mix of all the wonderful qualities of these two.
Their wedding was one for the books, friends..
Katie’s classic Dune London sandals and a headpiece that has been in her family for years. DROOL.
Friends, this is Katie. Isn’t she gorgeous?
I love when brides + grooms mix metals!
Friends, this is Anthony (and his guys!) – he’s the one putting on his jacket..
…and laughing.
We jumped in an Uber from the hotel to the venue and this sign was… a sign.
First look MAGIC! MAGIC!
But can you blame him? I mean LOOK AT HER.
So much love, friends. So much.
Seriously classic bridal party. All the girls wore different white dresses that they picked out – I LOVE IT!
The credit for this beauty goes all to Anthony. That serious face photo is an homage to old photographs.
The cutest!
They don’t make ’em more good looking.
Ceremony time..
The best. The actual best.
Oh, Katie. You are the most classic, most beautiful bride.
They did a bread + wine ceremony that Katie’s parents did at their own wedding. HOW SWEET!
And they’re married!!
Right after the ceremony, we did a few more portraits inside the Mutter. And OH MY GOD. The light, the LIGHT!!!
Fave!
A little lens fun..
And then off to cocktail hour to show off your pretty rings..
Could this venue be any prettier? Answer: no.
She was seriously the happiest bridesmaid I’ve ever met. Probably the happiest person too. The best.
Love.
A favorite! I’m constantly working angles during speeches. Once I have that safe shot, I’m going for something else entirely.
Don’t you just love them?!
It was a funny moment, everyone was laughing..
..it even deserved a standing ovation.
And now, we dance..
..and dance..
..and DANCE!
And then a little cake to end the night.
Katie + Anthony – thank you both so much for allowing me to capture your beautiful wedding day. It was absolute perfection. You guys are absolute perfection. I wish you so, so much love in this next chapter of your lives and I absolutely cannot wait to see you guys in the fall! xo, Lauren
