Gretchen + Ryan // NJ Maternity Photographer

Gretchen has been my friend for years. We grew up right down the street from each other, spent many mornings walking to school together, and then when we were older, many nights driving around our little town together. I was lucky enough to photograph her wedding back in April (here and here), and just recently got to take some maternity photographs with her first little boy on the way.

I shot a mixture of digital and film for this session, and was SO happy with the film shots! I love playing with film – it’s such a rush!

One of my FAVORITES! Gah, Gretchen’s a stunner!

 

Gretchen is a pretty relatively happy person, so getting all serious maternity photographs of her just didn’t feel right. We had to add in some fun!

 

From the beginning, Ryan wanted these photographs more than Gretchen. And he wanted these photographs to be ABOUT Gretchen. But, of course, I couldn’t let him get away without a few shots of them both!

 

 

Just this week, baby Wyatt made their way in to Gretchen + Ryan’s life. I can’t wait to meet the little guy + snuggle him! I know that they are going to be fantastic parents! xo
